Real Steel Review

Olga Fonda

The beautiful Olga Fonda in scene from Real Steel

Starring: Hugh Jackman, Dakota Goyo, Evangeline Lilly
I guess I’m a sucker for mushy feel good movies and Real Steel is one of those movies. The movie is 2 hours long and yes there are some parts I could have done without. The whole premise of the movie is the father (Charlie) and son (Max) relationship; well can you guess? The father is an unscrupulous robot fighter/coach. Actually I’m not sure what they called but they go around with robots which they control and the robots fight each other and whichever robot wins they(owners) get the money.

Charlie goes to fair and bets with a cowboy, which of course he loses as his robot gets hammered by a bull. He then runs away without paying the cowboy which comes back to haunt him later; through all of that he gets served with a subpoena to appear before judge and he gets to meet his son. This is where movie begins and we are taken on a journey where they build some form of a relationship and while that happens we get some good metal on metal fights.

Do I recommend this movie, well hell yeah and guess what it’s a damn feel good action movie so see it. I give it a 3.5/5. The trailer for the movie below.
